Cleaning the stove and perparing for there journey, Igor had plans to go on the ridge at Kholat Syakhl, through his diary he wrote it would be such comfort on the ridge so plans was to go on Kholat Syakhl... This photo looks calm with no rush they was late getting up and ready, if in trouble at this time of the day they would have been gone before light... So something happened after he wrote the last entry of his diary, the trouble would have happened on the slope or on the way to the slope which was only 2 to 3 miles. Igor was going all the way to Kholat Syakhl, but had to stop through bad weather and decided to camp on the slope, the comfort Igor suggested was Kholat Syakhl ridge... They died within 24 hours.
