No one knew until now where the labaz (or the last but one campsite) of the Dyatlov group was.

Aleksander (Sasha) Konstantinov claims to have found it.

He was hoping to confirm a fire or cans.

We carried two metal detectors for this purpose.

Although no metal artifacts were found on this site, these metal detectors will make history on the next day.

On the alleged labaz Sasha K. found partially sawed branches 3.5m high because the snow was ~ 2m judging by the photos and how much of the tree trunks were covered.

He also dug up 2 pieces of birch bark 3 cm underground and said that this must be the bottom of the labaz.

They did look like insolation, maybe it was under the tent and then it was used for the bottom of the labaz.

Question: Was this by the "cedar tree"?

Answer: No, the cedar is on the other side of the mountain.

The photos tomorrow will be from the cedar tree.

The red arrow is pointing to the place where this video was shot.

Oleg found branches piled up for firewood, some partially cut and then broken.

On height of 3.5-4m from the ground 4 stumps of partially cut branches was found by Aleksander (Sasha) Konstantinov.

The tree is 5-6m away from the labaz and respectively the tent since is seems like the Dyatlov group made the labaz on the spot where the tent stood up.

Question: Thought the Tent was A lot closer to the woodline...

No, not the night it all happened.

They walked to the trees without proper outerwear afterward, but they took pictures here when they were digging to pitch the tent.

Answer: No one knows where and when these particular pictures were taken.

They don't belong to a film, just floating loosely as prints.

One mile up from the tree line then.

The tree line now has moved closer to where the tent was found, but not by much in the big picture.

Today we were having the tour with Shura Aleeksenkov pointing out the locations where the events and findings took place.

I was hoping to see something that confirmed my theory but in no way did I suspect what I am in for.

Aleksey Komanyov, who is an advocate for the paranormal, explained that the aberrations always appear in the peripheral sight and they disappear when you turn to look at them.

In my case when I caught sight of what I was hoping to find and went for a closer look - it stayed there with the colossal certainty of death itself.

It was there, Shura Aleeksenkov knew about it, and yet, somehow no one saw its significance.

I took mental note and didn't insist on agitating people, but decided to return to investigate.

That is when I found something everyone was looking for.

I found it right there where no one believed it was possible.

I know I am a tease, but I am getting scientific confirmation of what it means as we speak.

I wouldn't waste your time if it turned out to be nothing.

On August 5-6 Oleg and Olga Taymen (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuMiKR5RfKgZeglW5o6JFlQ), the leader of the expedition Aleksandr Komanyov (https://www.youtube.com/c/russiaparanormal) and I headed for an overnight stay in the area of the cedar.

Oleg and Olga are video bloggers with previous track in the Dyatlov case.

In 2021, 46 meters from the cedar, next to the den, they found pieces of skis and bindings of the Red Army, a military model of 1920-1946 (https://youtu.be/LLYNoued4pA).

Aleksandr Komanyov brought thermal imager so we can hunt if something is lurking in the dark.

Both parties had metal detectors to search the creek.

I just wanted to investigate the fallen tree I had seen the day before and take advantage of the metal detectors to search around it.

Sasha Konstantinov, who found the labaz, and is an expert in forestry, promised to join us on August 6 and take a kernel from the fallen tree.

This is not the dead tree I am talking about, only illustrating how kernel is retrieved. This could be a tree on which the tent was hanging on Feb 1, 1959.

vm92HVb.jpg

This is a kernel from a living tree and even here the circles are hard to read.

eJZCyU3.jpg

Common knowledge is that the number of circles is the age of the tree.

3uB8a7p.jpg

The kernel from the fallen tree is rotten. But I don't need to count the circles to know that it was big (11 m high)

Comment by the author of the video:

The conclusion on the tin can: either the Dyatlov group themselves left it (but then this greatly changes, if not completely, the official version of the last day of the group), or some third parties about which we still know nothing.
But not the searchers for sure! Firstly, the investigation would not allow to scatter garbage within 10 steps from the place where the first two bodies were found.
Secondly, many searchers were friends and acquaintances of the dead hikers so it's hard to imagine that they would eat canned food near the place of death.

The microscopic analysis by expert Yoan Donev shows characters M278.

Form State Standards Cans and Preserves Fish Official edition Moscow 1958 (ГОСТ 52) https://dyatlovpass.com/resources/340/GOST-52.pdf
....
18. Can labeling. Symbols must be stamped on the bottom and lid of a non-lithographed can.
19. At the bottom of the can, three to six characters are stamped in succession in one row:
a) ministry index:
«К» — USSR Ministry of Food Industry;
«М» — Ministry of Meat and Dairy Industry of the USSR;
«Р» — Ministry of the Fishing Industry of the USSR;
b) plant number;
c) the year of manufacture, indicated by the last digit of that year.
Example. Cannery № 25 of the Glavmyas MMiMP of the USSR in 1948 should have a brand: «М258».
....
Plant №27 is АО «Любинский молочноконсервный комбинат» est. 1939 https://lmkk.ru/
....
After a joined investigation with Dyatlov case researcher that goes by the nick Энсон we concluded that this is a tin can from a condensed milk made in 1958 by Lyubinskiy Molochnokonservnyy Kombinat which is close to Yekaterinburg.

After the expedition (on August 12, 2022) I met with Vladislav Karelin (https://dyatlovpass.com/whois#karelin) who took part in the search in 1959.

I showed him the tin can and asked if it could have been left by the searchers.

Karelin is a very rational man.

He didn't go into how much they respected life and in how much distress the finding of their friends and colleagues bodies put them at the time.

He simply explained that it is impossible for this can to have been left by the searchers because the discipline of how the food was prepared and consumed was very strict.

They were given breakfast, worked all day, and then returned for dinner.

No one but the person on duty had access to supplies, and you don't mess with the provisions on an expedition organized by top level.

And one more argument, if someone goes demented a decides to steal a can of condensed milk and eat it, would he do this right where everyone is working and looking for bodies?

The cedar was the epicenter of the search.

We found a tin can from a condensed milk produced by Lyubinskiy Molochnokonservnyy Kombinat (№27) that opened in 1939.

GOST 1506-42 does not fit the charset.

The first standard that is a match for the stamp on the tin can is GOST 1506-47 (read "Из истории вопроса), then GOST 1506-52 and GOST 11811-66.

GOST 23651-79 already changes the markings on the tin cans drastically.

So were are left with a tin can dating from 1948, 1958, 1968 or 1978.

We need to narrow down the year of production by possibly making a metal comparison with a can from 1958 for which we need to contact the plant for a sample.

I chose August 7 (Igor's nickname was s777) for the day I will go up Kholat Syakhl (1079) with the book "1079" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08VF5Y5SZ/ and a GPS to illustrate what the name stands for.

I asked who can lend me a GPS and both Shura Alekseenkov and Sasha Konstantinov responded that they don't mind walking with me.

They are real troopers.

Height 1079 was the name of the mountain where the nine members of the Dyatlov trekking group perished in 1959.

The bizarre circumstances of their death and the ensuing frenzy surrounding the incident brought to attention the original name given to the place by the local Mansi people - Kholat Syakhl, or Dead (Barren) Mountain.

Until now, there has been no plausible explanation of what actually happened on that fateful night of February 1, 1959.

This book offers a startling new theory, based on well-documented evidence rather than wild speculations, that finally ties together all of known facts about the Dyatlov mystery into a credible sequence of causes and effects.

BULGARIAN EXPERT ON THE DYATLOV PASS: THE FOOTPRINTS WERE LEFT BY SHOD FEET

August 29, 2022. All rights belong to Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Authors Nikolay Varsegov и Natalya Varsegova

oKUFSp1.jpg

Reminder. In the winter of 1959, nine skiers disappeared in the mountains of the Northern Urals, who went hiking under the guidance of a 5th year student of the Ural Polytechnic Institute Igor Dyatlov.

A month later, rescuers found their cut tent.

And within a radius of one and a half kilometers from it - five frozen bodies.

The bodies of the rest were found only in May.

Almost all the hikers were shoeless and half-dressed.

Some had fatal injuries.

It remains a mystery to this day why the experienced mountaineers ran into the bitter cold and to their death.

Recently, a new book was published about the strange death of the hikers on the Dyatlov Pass called "1079".

If anyone does not know, this is the height of Mt Kholat-Chakhl, on the slope of which a tragedy happened.

The authors are Russian nuclear physicist Igor Pavlov and Bulgarian researcher Teodora Hadjiyska.

We will not disclose the details of the version presented in the book.

Let's focus on one curious expert opinion on the footprints of the members of the the Dyatlov group.

There is a generally accepted opinion that 6 hikers left their campsite without barely clad, the seventh had one felt boot on his leg and only two were were shod.

This is how the rescuers found the bodies of the dead.

And 9 pairs of boots were found in the abandoned tent.

In addition, some of the footprints from the tent in the photo look like bare footprints.

Hence the conclusion: the Dyatlov group did not have time to put on their shoes, moving away from some danger that threatens them.

An experienced forensic expert, associate professor Lyudmil Georgiev, well-known in Bulgaria, has a different opinion.

Footprints were left by shod people.

Note that the expert did not know in advance that these traces were related to the death of Igor Dyatlov's group.

Pavlov and Hadjiyska asked the expert the following questions:

1. Were the feet of those who left footprints shod or barefoot?

2. How many people left the footprints?

3. In what direction did the people who left the footprints move?

Georgiev carefully studied three black-and-white photographs from the archive of investigator Lev Ivanov.

oEv7Rdg.jpg

LK08Am9.jpg

SNeXnuo.jpg

NOT CERTAIN, BUT PROBABLY

A professional analysis of the three photographs showed the following.

But first, the expert points out that the photos are of poor quality.

Therefore, it is impossible to give accurate information on them, only with a degree of probability.

3W5PUG6.jpg

— Formations of three footprints marked with stars;

— From their shape it can be assumed that they were not left barefoot, but from shoes;

— In two of the tracks, in the area of the heel, there are dragging (marked with small arrows), indicative of the direction of movement;

— The direction of movement of the person who formed them is indicated with the bold arrow;

— From a photograph presented in such a perspective, it can be assumed that the footprints were left by one person.

t1EZXLW.jpg

— Probably left by a left winter shoe; on the left along the length of the trace is straight, on the heel - oval, and on the right in its middle part is arcuate - indicated by the triangle;

— Fragments resembling a tread (indicated by three arrows) are observed at the bottom of the footprint. It is not possible to establish definitively whether the trace is formed by only one shoe or has been stepped on more than once;

— The direction of movement is indicated by the extended arrow to the left of the image; in the area from the heel there is a slight drag.

a5RpyZ5.jpg

In the photograph, formations resembling steps are indicated by arrows.

They are voluminous - three-dimensional (shadows also speak about this).

For comparison, the expert cites an experiment with bare footprints on wet sand.

The formation of tracks on wet sand and snow is the same.

gjemOMc.jpg

mlXVZ3Z.jpg

CONCLUSION

— If this "prominence" of them is not due to a photographic effect made intentionally or obtained in the process of developing the film and the subsequent copying of the photograph,

it can be assumed that: the originally formed marks were indented (due to the nature of the mark formation in snow surface); subsequently, the traces have softened (semi-melted with a possible increase in temperatures or exposure to the sun); due to subsequent new low temperatures – the tracks are frozen; the wind has additionally blown away powdery snow located laterally to the frozen tracks.

Regarding the traces, the following can also be assumed:

— In the photo, the formations resembling footprints are about 13, pointed with arrows;

— They are not formed by barefoot, but by shod feet (the shape and width of the footprints is clearly indicative of this);

— They are left by at least two people, overlap is observed in some of the footprints;

— The tracks are formed when walking or moving faster, and not as a result of running (the type of the trail of the tracks is indicative for this);

— The presumed direction of movement is indicated on the photo by a bold arrow;

— The perspective of the photograph in relation to the traces does not allow to objectively and finally determine the direction of movement (whether the movement of people was usual - forward or obviously backward).

The bottom line is that according to the expert, the footprints on all three photos were left by people in shoes.

But the Dyatlov group were found without shoes.

The head of the search, Evgeniy Maslennikov, left a curious drawing in his observation notebook.

Scheme of the slope where the tent stood, and traces of it - in boots and barefoot.

Apparently, Evgeniy Polikarpovich was very puzzled by the traces.

However, such a combination would confuse anyone.

Lu4grpS.jpg

But if we are to trust the Bulgarian expert, it turns out that most of the hikers were taken off by someone - or marauders who discovered the bodies before the rescuers, or ...?

However, we will leave readers to look for answers to the questions raised.

CANNED TIME Exclusive.

The findings of the expedition, which returned from the Dyatlov Pass, may reveal a new version of the death of the hikers in 1959

A group of researchers returned to Yekaterinburg after a ten-day trip to the Dyatlov Pass.

The leader of the expedition, Aleksey Korolyov, explained to the correspondent of "OG" Ekaterina KHOZHATELOVA how the finds discovered by them can change the versions of the death of the Dyatlov group half a century ago.

tcD5p6E.jpg

After 10 days in the taiga, Aleksey returned from the expedition only this morning, and after hearing about the interview, he asked to call as soon as possible being in a hurry to meet his friends.

On August 11, exactly a year ago, the head of the Dyatlov Group Fund, Yuri Kuntsevich, passed away.

The telephone conversation with Aleksey lasted less than 20 minutes.

But during this time he said a lot of interesting things.

WE THOUGHT: "HERE IT GOES!"

— Tell us how the expedition to the Dyatlov Pass went this time: were there any surprises?

— From previous expeditions, we have already got used to the fact that some kind of emergency happens all the time: we constantly had some kind of trauma.

And we thought that this time would be no exception.

But, fortunately, everyone is alive and well, they returned on time.

But there was still a small hitch.

Before starting the hiking, it was necessary to drive from Ivdel on a shift for about 7 hours through the taiga, through rivers, streams - a very difficult road.

And here two wheels were pierced at once.

We had to repair right on the road.

Of course, the driver did it, but we also helped, because the wheels of KamAZ are huge.

All in all, the repair took two hours.

This is perhaps the only thing that overshadowed the expedition.

— Wasn't the heat a problem?

— No, on the contrary, the clear weather helps to devote more energy to research activities, and not to dry off and harvest firewood.

— Who took part in the expedition?

— Our core team consisted of 17 members, plus a few more hikers from among our friends.

Together with us they reached the Dyatlov Pass, then some went further.

That is, they did not participate directly in the work of the expedition.

This time the group was very diverse, from age 10 to 60 years old.

Almost half are from Yekaterinburg, the rest are from other regions.

These are mostly researchers who have been engaged in this history for many years and have been to these places.

For example, Aleksander Alekseenkov from Moscow - he has probably been to the Dyatlov Pass 15 times already.

He knows almost everything.

There was the son and grandson of Yuri Konstantinovich Kuntsevich.

There was a writer from Bulgaria, Teodora Hadjiyska, who wrote a book and decided to visit this place.

And we all went together.

There were people who went for the first time, and they were almost half of the expedition.

We gave them tours of the main points, and they helped with the chores as much as they could.

— Were there archaeologists in the expedition?

— There were no archaeologists.

But we hope that next time we will have such specialists.

BARK FOUND UNDER THE GRASS

— What new discoveries did you make this time, what artifacts did you find?

— Firstly, the place of the labaz (the labaz is a place where hikers leave surplus supplies before an ascent - ed.) of the Dyatlov group.

Where was their last but one night on January 31, 1959.

It was found back in 2019.

This time a new finding confirmed it.

In a clearing a spot was found measuring a meter and a half, lined with birch bark.

This is the bark that the Dyatlov group laid.

That is, they put products on it.

We found it preserved, however, already covered with a thick layer of turf.

— Why did you decide that this is the same bark laid by the Dyatlov group in 1959?

— Because a number of factors come together.

For example, there are many photographs taken at the site of the labaz.

We compared all this, and all members of the expedition recognized that this is the same spot.

For example, there are some notable trees that the searchers have photographed.

We carefully checked all this, and it turns out that the configuration of the trees and the slope of the mountain all match.

And when in the place where the tent of the Dyatlov group allegedly stood, we found this bark, then everything came together.

— It turns out that this site is underground?

— Not underground, but under the turf.

There, about three centimeters grew during this time - the interweaving of roots, grasses - all this reliably covered and conserved this place in this way.

qqzL6VI.jpg

CONDENSED MILK HACKED WITH AN AX

— Did you find anything else?

— This time we brought two metal detectors with us.

I worked with one, and another member of the expedition, Oleg Taymen, had another.

And so, together with him, rechecking each other, first near the cedar, where the first two bodies of the Dyatlov group were found, we found a rusted piece of a tin can, presumably from condensed milk.

Like the one in which condensed milk was produced in the USSR.

— Or maybe canned meat?

— Maybe.

We discussed that, according to Soviet GOST, there seems to be a difference between these two banks in size.

We can't tell right now what it's from, but it's clearly canned food.

That is, this is not even a can, but its upper part with a lid.

Perhaps, in the absence of a knife, it could have been opened with an ax.

We found it 28 centimeters deep underground.

Moreover, huge amount of thick roots on top of the can suggests that this find is not from the 80s, but from the 50s, and over the years it has been covered with vegetation.

The question is, who brought this can?

Perhaps the Dyatlov group themselves.

But then this overwrites all previous versions, because none of them confirm that they ate something near the cedar.

Although theoretically it is possible.

We have to investigate.

Or the searchers could have left the can.

However, given that the investigation was ongoing, no one would have allowed them to throw garbage 10 meters from the place where the bodies were found.

There is a third option: it was disposed by some other unidentified persons, and at that time they were also at the cedar.

In any case, this find, it simply breaks many speculations about the Dyatlov case.

— There can't be some random cans?

Was this a remote taiga at that time?

— Cans could be found but in the surface layer.

Only a very old can will reside under 28 cm of earth and vegetation.

And at that time this was a deaf taiga.

The Dyatlov group were the first.

That is, before them there was no one that had to go through this place.

The probability that some people happened to be at the same cedar at about the same time and threw the can is generally fantastic, like a needle in a haystack.

At that time, the mountaineering was just starting.

The Northern Urals was practically not hiked yet.

And if, for example, people still walked along that path, then the deviation of 1.5 km into the forest, as the Dyatlov group did, it’s just unrealistic to imagine.

I was lucky enough to find this can, and Oleg Taymen found in the stream, where there was a flooring and four more bodies were found, a small metal cylinder.

We cannot yet say what it is.

We have several versions, but none of them seems 100 percent.

chAdRRo.jpg

IT ONLY LOOKS LIKE A PEN

— What is this cylinder?

— It is like a fountain pen, in thickness, in diameter.

Presumably metal - the metal detector worked on it.

But at the same time very light.

Whether this is some kind of alloy, or something containing metal, we do not yet know.

This item has lain under a stone in the water for more than 60 years.

Could have changed its physical properties.

— How big is it?

— About the size of a finger.

But that's not all of it.

It most likely broke off, and the other part may have been carried away by the water.

— Could it be a pen?

— No.

It is not hollow inside, but solid, only the diameter is the same as the handle.

It partially has layers - alluvial soil could harden on it over time.

While we just found it, examined it, washed it from dirt.

But more serious research is required to say what it is.

— Any suggestions?

— The first guess was that it was a fountain pen.

Because 1959, then they could still write in ink.

There is such a sharpening at the end, so at first it seemed to us that it was a pen.

But still, we later abandoned this version.

— Why?

— Because the cylinder is not hollow inside.

In addition, at the end of the fountain pen should have some kind of notch for the ink, but it doesn't.

IN MEMORIUM

— The main purpose of the expedition was to install a sign in memory of Yuri Kuntsevich.

Where is this memorial plaque located?

— There is a clearing in the forest.

That is, this is not the outlier itself (the outlier is an isolated rock that remained after the destruction of the more unstable rock surrounding it - ed.), where about five different boards now hang.

One kilometer down the slope, Yuri Konstantinovich Kuntsevich always set up his base camp.

And there in the forest on a thick cedar we hung the memorial plaque.

— The board is wooden, are you not afraid that it is short-lived?

— No.

We have been working on this project for half a year: consulted, found material, specialists.

This is a durable product.

The commemorative sign is made of ash.

The boards are treated with a special solution and covered with ship varnish.

Therefore, we assume that our memorial sign can hang for decades.

Nature should not affect it radically.

PASS OF RIDDLES

— Has your expedition come close to unraveling the mystery of the death of the Dyatlov group?

— I believe that by finding the labaz we confirm the route of the Dyatlov group.

Because there are versions that are based on reflections that the route was not the same as the investigation believed.

But this fact confirms it.

Most likely, they really stood here on January 31, 1959, in the wooded part. And the next day, we went up.

This part we have confirmed.

Well, the discovery of a tin can near the cedar can turn the whole Dyatlov case upside down.

By itself, the tin can still does not tell us anything, but we need to look further into this.

Our time was limited, we couldn't comb a hectare there, and we didn't have enough people too.

But if we expand the search area, then who knows what we can be find near the cedar or in the stream.

Everyone traditionally works around the place where the tent of the Dyatlov group was found, on the ridge, near the foot of the Kholat Syakhl.

And only a few people go near the cedar.

We are almost the first who passed with metal detectors, and we have combed a small area so far.

This is a huge area.

To study it in detail, of course, it takes decades and lots of people.

The terrain is complex, mountainous, there are many hard-to-reach places.

Plus, it all happened over 60 years ago.

All traces went under a thick layer of turf, under stones, water washed away some of it.

There could be a transfer and relocation of artifacts.

We must look further, maybe there will be new discoveries.

— In your opinion, is there any secret of the death of the expedition of Igor Dyatlov in 1959, or has the Investigative Committee already explained everything?

— The mystery, of course, remains.

The investigation rather cunningly summarized the criminal case that the Dyatlov group were killed by some overwhelming force.

Experts say that legally the conclusion cannot be so vague.

If a clear reason were given in a criminal case, such as an avalanche, that would be legal language.

And here we see that nothing specific is written as caused of death of the Dyatlov group: an object, a person, an element.

— What do you personally believe?

— I believe there was an anomalous reason.

That is, all some kind of man-made, criminal versions, they, in my opinion, do not stand up to criticism.

Because there are too many oddities.

People often died in the forests and, unfortunately, will continue to die.

But for the most part, it's clear what happened.

But for the Dyatlov group for 60 years, more and more questions arise.

This suggests that there was a non-trivial reason for their death.

— What other research are you planning to do?

— We already have plans for 2023.

A new expedition is needed.

But so far this is only at the stage of reflection.

We just got back from this one this morning.

The road back is the time for contemplation, for the information to sink in, to think about what's next, for taking note of how to get in touch with the people around you.

In my case it was also a time for the big shock that the share of group supplies on the way back (4 kg for women, 5 for men) was not much lighter than on the way to the pass (5 kg for women, 7 for men).

The thought that my backpack will be lighter on the way back was what kept my spirit strong and when I was handed the 4 kg I knew I was going to fall apart.

My "lighter" backpack was 20 kg and I couldn't mount it myself, I needed someone to put it on my back.

Shura Alekseenkov tried to lift my spirit by bringing me pine cones from the top of the trees, and when this didn't work, he offered to take my supplies.

Shura is the man who ensures everyone makes it in one piece. In 2021, when Yuri Kuntsevich felt sick, Shura took his backpack and went back with him to the place where he could hitch a transportation to Ivdel.

Shura gave me a day of reflecting the beautiful forest, trees covered with witch's hair, and enjoying the trail and life in general.

I could fly with 16 kg backpack.

He was the true gentleman who heard a woman say "I can't" and believed it.

No one knew my bones look like this.

The incident happened 10 years ago (https://distal-humerus.com), and it is all peachy, but 20 kg for 60 km is not what I should be doing.

And yet again, I am going back to the taiga as soon as I can.

This quote is attributed to Kinky Freidman (or Charles Bukowski), but whoever said it, it's the motto of my life: "Find what you love and let it kill you".

What Aleksey Korolyev explained to me is that you never should stay without supplies in the taiga.

Everyone I talk to has been overloaded in these expeditions, and at the end you leave your supplies in Ushma, or Ilycha's hut, you don't carry it back to civilization.

No one knew my bones look like this. The incident happened 10 years ago (http://distal-humerus.com), and it is all peachy, but 20 kg for 60 km is not what I should be doing. And yet again, I am going back to the taiga as soon as I can. This quote is attributed to Kinky Freidman (or Charles Bukowski), but whoever said it, it's the motto of my life: "Find what you love and let it kill you"

Premier of video shot when the labaz was found in real time.

2022 Expedition to the Dyatlov Pass.

Location of searchers winter camp in 1959

2022 Expedition to the Dyatlov Pass.

Discussion at the proposed site of the storage (labaz) of the Dyatlov group.

Members of the Dyatlov Group Memory Foundation 2022 expedition are discussing the question of how the Dyatlov group planned to find their cache site on their way back from Otorten.

The exact location of the storage of the Dyatlov group is very important for many researchers for further reconstruction of the events of 1959 in their versions.

Обсуждение на предполагаемом месте лабаза группы Дятлова.

Участники экспедиции 2022 Фонда памяти группы Дятлова обсуждают вопрос о том, как группа Дятлова планировала найти свой лабаз, возвращаясь с Отортена..

Every expedition to the Dyatlov Pass starts and ends in Ivdel, even if you don't make it out alive.

On August 10, 2022, we had time to kill till the train, so everyone jumped on their phones.

Me and Ayna bought a can of beer each and hid behind some old barrack.

Police came and that was that.

Kind of reminded me how Krivonischenko got arrested for singing in Serov Jan 24, 1959.

''At the attention of citizen Krivonischenko, sergeant explained that the rules of §3 prohibited all activity that would disturb tthe peace of passengers,

It is perhaps the only train station where the songs are forbidden, so we stayed without singing'' Yudin, Jan 24, 1959 → https://dyatlovpass.com/diaries?flp=1#24jan

My comrades in this expedition didn't drink alcohol, except Shamil, who had a 350ml Cognac which we distributed evenly in the last day of the expedition.

I had to introduce coffee to grown ass men.

Shura (I am not going to the Dyatlov Pass without him) had a bag of grounded Lavazza in his backpack which he only produced in the final days of the trek (he forgot he had it) after I ran out of my private stash of pathetic 2in1 packages of instant coffee.

How can he forget?

I could eat up my shoes to alleviate the load.

The only thrill during the trek were the meals with hand picked mushrooms.

When I joked that this is like a Russian roulette they didn't even know what that is.

When we got together in the Dyatlov foundation we only drank tea, but there was always a lot of home made food, either by the widow of Yuri Kuntsevich, delicate, beautiful, and good-hearted Olga, but also everyone brought stuff.
