The album is the score of the Japanese film "Antarctica" directed by Koreyoshi Kurahara and was nominated by the Japan Academy for "Best Music Score". Synthesisers & keyboards conjure cold and desolation, but also a bright landscape not lacking in beauty. Some tracks have "melody" showing the vastness of the landscape. With the ZKO Zurich Chamber Orchestra, conducted by André Bellmont,at the Fraumunster Cathedral, Zurich Switzerland, September 6, 1998special guests: Walter Keiser, Christoph Stiefel, Matthias Ziegler This was my first large symphonic project. Ever since I can remember, this has been a dream of mine; to paint, shape, and form my musical world with the incredibly rich sonic and dynamic possibilities of the large symphonic orchestra. A lot of new music was created in the process and the few pieces from past times showed themselves in a completely new light.
