A very versatile synth, useful in all styles of music and easy enough for anybody to operate!

 

 

Compact, simplified and based on the megalithic modular Moog synths, the Minimoog became the most popular synth of all time !

 

Prior to the Minimoog, synthesizers were custom built to order, and required a great deal of technical knowledge to be able to wire up and create a sound.

Vangelis moved his creative base from London to Athens in Greece (1987) , and it was his first album recorded in Athens .

The process of recording was largely facilitated by the use of full spectrum of sound in the mixing and mastering process due to custom MIDI performance systems designed for Vangelis and the Zyklus MIDI Performance System ( developed by technicians Bill Marshall and Pete Kellock )

In addition to discovering her identity, she fell in love with Blade Runner "Rick Deckard"and conceived a child with him, but died as a result of the birth ( we know about that in BR2049)..

One of the most beautiful melody

of the Greek Maestro.

The album is the score of the Japanese film "Antarctica" directed by Koreyoshi Kurahara and was nominated by the Japan Academy for "Best Music Score".

Synthesisers & keyboards conjure cold and desolation, but also a bright landscape not lacking in beauty.

The host of the programme was Henry Chapier ( film director of Sex power-1970 & Amore-1974 both Music by Vangelis !).

 

 

 

 

 

In the television interview '"Le Divan" ( Henri Chapier) , several international known people were interviewed from 1987 ...

An excellent album that breaks somewhat with the musical style that #Vangelis developed during the 1970s, relying much more on the voices and the experimental aspect.

It breaks quite violently with the style he had employed in the late 1970s and later, relying much more on vocals and being more experimental and returning (in many respects) to his early 1970s work like Earth or 666.

See You Later is Vangelis' most wide-ranging work of the 1980s, with more radical musical and lyrical themes than are found in his other albums.

The concept album is bleaker than most of his records, incorporating negative and satirical intonations of a dystopian future.

Subjects touched on include funerals, masks, and ready-to-wear and ready-to-eat things.

The lyrics are written by Vangelis in English, French and Italian; they use electronic terminology and incorporate references to lost love, and the downfall of humanity due to the influence of technology.

The title track lyrics say "See you later then... alive or dead".

"El Greco" #ElGreco is a 1998 classical album by #Vangelis.

 

The title is a reference to the man who inspired the composition, Dominikos Theotokópoulos (known as El Greco, "The Greek" 1541–1614), the painter and sculptor of the Spanish Renaissance.
